A Crown of Deceit & Ruin Updates!

This is not a drill—I repeat: THIS IS NOT A DRILL!! I have some exciting news to share with you today!!

I hit over 91k words in A Crown of Deceit & Ruin this week! For context, I'm expecting this book to be around 105k, so we are IN THE HOME STRETCH!! 🎉

My goal is to finish draft 1 by Sunday so that I can start self-edits next week and professional edits in April! And I've gotta say, even though this will be my 11th full novel (so I have clearly done this before), it was really starting to feel like this book was never getting finished. It was stuck at 20-30k words for nearly a year, and any time I tried writing it just felt like I couldn't figure out what I was doing.

But re-discovering my muse has been like remembering how to breathe again! I'm so relieved and SO EXCITED to start sharing more sneak peeks and behind-the-scenes with you! Starting with this bookish aesthetic/collage. Enjoy!

I Joined Threads!

Another announcement I wanted to share: you can find me on Threads now!

I'll admit, I'm always slow to try out new social media. When Facebook came out, it took me like ten years to jump on board 😅 And I was skeptical of Threads at first, but I've been on it for a week or so now, and I'm really loving the community over there! It kind of reminds me of when I first joined Bookstagram and it was just readers loving on books and authors supporting authors. This week alone, I've already seen like 3 people publish their debut novels, a few ARC readers rave about upcoming books, and just so much love and support from everyone!

That's the kind of community I can get behind!

Cover Makeovers!

I'm also really excited to share that I am doing some book cover makeovers!!

I'm testing new covers for Shadow Crusade and Assassin Reaper right now with some covers that I think suit their gothic fantasy genre better. For now, it's just the first book in each series, but the goal is to eventually change all of them!

If you haven't read either yet, let me tell you a bit about both:
