A Delicate Betrayal Update

Fate is not a fixed thing. There are forks in the road. Caves of darkness, as much as there are starbursts of light, that conceal all that occurs within their reaches. No one can presume to know the future, though some will pretend. But your fate is for you to decide.

What. A. Rollercoaster!

I am wrapping up the final chapter of A Delicate Betrayal this weekend, and I've gotta say... this book is taking some crazy turns that I did NOT see coming! 😂

Before working on A Delicate Betrayal, I'd been feeling...I don't know. Just kind of uninspired. I was in a rut. I think because I'd been writing in my Arcathain world for so long, I was starting to feel like everything was the same (same scenery, same magic, same lore).

But this book has been SO DIFFERENT and SO FUN!

🔮 A seeress queen with sleep paralysis!

⚔️ A dutiful knight who will protect his queen at all costs!

✨ Magical items that both doom and protect!

🐉 Dragons!

💕 An enemies-to-lovers, forbidden romance to swoon for!

And more!

Just a few more months until this book releases (December 7th, 2023)! If you haven't preordered it already, you can grab your copy of A Delicate Betrayal here!

If you follow me on social media you've likely already heard, but I'll be one of the authors attending the first ever Storybound Fest in 2023!

Storybound Fest is a 2-day indie author book convention that will be held on July 21st-22nd at the KC Marriott Downtown in Kansas City, Missouri—and you won't want to miss it!

Go check out Storybound's Instagram page for a full list of all attending authors, but for now, here is a short list of some of the authors who I'm personally excited to see:

Tessonja Odette

Jack Whitney

Cassandra Celia

Jenna Wolfhart

Jessica S. Taylor

J.L. Vampa

Christy R. Harrill

And SO many more!

I don't think they've released information on how to purchase tickets yet, but stay tuned!

In the meantime, please help me decide what kind of books and swag to bring! This will be my first in-person event and I want to make sure my table is popping 😊 Let me know what you'd be most excited to see using the Google Form here!

Until next time, happy reading!
